Introduction

Arsenal continue their Premier League campaign with a home fixture against a team who they walloped 6-1 at home last season. However, the Saints have come a long way since then, and are currently on the cusp of the top of the Premier League, with several new England internationals at the heart of their success. Arsenal have grown considerably since then too, and will be delighted that Mesut Ozil was rested by Germany in mid-week as they attempt to stay top of the table with three points here. With second placed Liverpool away at Everton this week, it could be an opportunity for the Gunners to stretch their two point gap at the top.

Winner

Arsenal are unsurprisingly strong favourites to win this match, despite the excellent start that Southampton have made to the season. The Gunners have played some excellent football at the Emirates so far this term, and will be expecting to get another three points here. Although Southampton are a very capable side, I feel this will be a bridge too far for them, and Arsenal will get back to winning ways having lost to Manchester United last time out.
