Arsenal v Everton – Match Preview and Betting Tip
Arsenal face their most important fixture of the season so far on Tuesday evening, as Everton travel to the Emirates Stadium with both sides retaining a strong hope of qualifying for Champions League football next season. Of the two, naturally Arsenal are in the much stronger position, with the Gunners now looking the favourites of the London triumvirate battling for a top four slot to achieve their goal.
Nonetheless, when they met back in March, these two sides played out a 1-1 draw, and on that occasion Arsenal were rather lucky to escape with a point, having been dominated by the Toffees for long periods. Thus, the Gunners would be well advised to be on their guard against a very capable Everton side that is more than capable of coming away from the Emirates with three points.
The momentum of Arsenal’s season, though, has been gathering in recent weeks, since Tottenham apparently put a sizable dent in their Champions League aspirations just a few weeks to go. It is Spurs who have floundered since then, suffering a few damaging defeats, exiting the Europa League, and having to deal with some debilitating injuries, not least to Gareth Bale. Meanwhile, Arsenal and currently playing with spirit, pace, power and confidence, and look very well placed to repeat their third-place finish from last season.
One issue that still hangs over Everton is the future of their manager, David Moyes, and whether it will be at Goodison Park or not. It certainly seems likely that the highly-rated Scot would want to seriously challenge for the highest prizes in the game, which does not appear possible at a club with great tradition but relatively weak finances. But the opportunity for Moyes to secure one of the biggest jobs in English football in the summer appear limited, and he may ultimately choose to stay with the Merseyside club with which he has been hugely successful.
Arsenal will probably recall fully fit Theo Walcott for this game, and may choose to select Lukas Podolski, after the German scored in their 3-1 win over Norwich. Everton may be unchanged from the win over QPR.

Betting Prediction
I expect this to be a hard fought game, and I don’t think the Gunners will have it all their own way. But I think their extra attacking quality will be decisive, and I’m tipping Arsenal to win this one by two goals to one. I also recommend the over 2.5 goals and both teams to score bets.
Final Scoreline Prediction:Arsenal 2 – 1 Everton
Other Recommended Bets: Over 2.5 Goals, Both Teams to Score, Walcott to be first goalscorer.
