Chelsea v Swansea – Match Preview and Betting Tips
While Jose Mourinho's side remain one of the most obvious challengers for the title this season, the general feeling about the Portugese's side is that they haven't really convinced in their performances. People are extremely loath to write off a Mourinho team, owing to the fact that during his last period at Chelsea manager the club was hugely successful in the league. But this particular Chelsea team looks a little short up front, by no means as ruthless in the back, and though their midfield is as good as any in the division, it is debatable whether they have the sort of holistic quality required to win the Premier League.
This home fixture against Swansea will pit Mourinho against one of the most promising managers in Europe. Given his obvious qualities as a coach and organiser of teams, and his stellar playing career, it seems like just a matter of time until Michael Laudrup takes up the helm at one of the biggest clubs in Europe, and his Swansea side have won a lot of plaudits this term, as well as reaching the knockout stages of the Europa League, giving the club a real chance of European glory.
But although Swansea are a capable side, I feel that they play a game that Chelsea will not object to facing. I fancy that the home side will be too strong, competitive and physical for the away side, and I feel that the Blues will definitely pick up three points.
Given that Chelsea are heavily odds on to win this game, I'm looking elsewhere for my ‘Daily Dynamo Selection’ for this match. I'm going to look at the correct score market, and I feel that Chelsea will win this one with some comfort, shutting out the Swans, so my tip is for a 2-0 scoreline.
