Daily Dynamo Selection – Chelsea v Sunderland
Chelsea may already have one eye on their critical, potentially title deciding fixture with Liverpool. But being upset by bottom of the table Sunderland would pretty much eliminate the second-place Blues from the title race.
It is hard to see this happen, considering the gulf in class between the two sides, and the fact that Jose Mourinho is in the middle of a 77-game EPL unbeaten streak in the friendly West London confines. But Sunderland have everything to play for and little to lose, and might just shock the home side if they're not at the races.
Nonetheless, things are looking pretty dismal right now for manager Gus Poyet and Sunderland's fans. They need something bordering on a miracle to get out of the bottom three, and Mourinho's teams are hardly known for being accommodating. Adam Johnson (eight goals) is the only Sunderland player with more than three goals, and the Black Cats haven't won for nine Premier League outings, losing seven of these games.
Additionally, the Blacks Cats have won only three on the road this season, whereas Chelsea have the best home record in the Premier League.
Everything points to a Chelsea win. Expect a quick pace and a high possession percentage from the home team from the opening whistle, and a comfortable Blues victory.
Selections: Safe Bet – Over 2.5 goals (3/5 with BetVictor), Value Bet – Chelsea 3 – 0 Sunderland (15/2 with BetVictor)
