Daily Dynamo Selection – Getafe v Barcelona
This second-leg Copa del Rey tie would look to be a total formality for the might of Barcelona, after they walloped the minnows of Getafe 4-0 in the opening leg. Perhaps the biggest focus of the occasion will be on whether Lionel Messi features, as the brilliant Argentinian continues his comeback from a serious injury which has curtailed his inevitable brilliance. It seems likely that the Barca number 10 will begin on the bench if he is part of the eighteen at all.
Getafe can actually be pretty proud of their La Liga season thus far, being level on points with eighth placed Valencia, who of course have a much greater pedigree in the Spanish game than the Azulones. They have also picked up four useful victories on their home patch, which may give them some sort of hope that they can pick up a victory here, even if their hopes of turning over the first-leg deficit look to be somewhere between utterly unrealistic and zero.
But Barcelona look to win every game, and even though we may see a weakened Barcelona team take to the field for this particular fixture, with squad players such as Puyol, Song, Roberto and Tello likely to get a run out, it's incredibly hard to see anything other than a victory for the Catalans here. So my Daily Dynamo Selections for this fixture reflect Barcelona's emphatic status as favourites for this match.
Selection: Safe bet – Barcelona to win (4/15 with Stan James), Value Bet – Getafe 0 – 3 Barcelona (9/1 with BetVictor)
