Manchester City have established themselves as clear favourites for the Premier League title, and may consider the League Cup to be rather low on their list of priorities. But with neighbours and rivals United potentially waiting for them in the final, City will want to put West Ham to the sword in this first-leg to set up a potentially massive Wembley occasion.

West Ham could hardly been going into this match in worse shape, having drawn two and lost five of their previous seven Premier League fixtures. One fears for them a little at the Etihad, given their complete lack of striking options, and the incredible form that City have shown at home this season. While City have scored 38 goals at home in the league, and also scored ten more in three Champions League games, West Ham have scored just seven goals away from home in the Premier League, winning one and losing seven.

It is extremely difficult to see any result other than a Manchester City victory, even if all three results are always possible in a football match. City just have too much class and depth for this West Ham side, and I really view this as a case of how many. I think a three goal City winning margin offers decent value, so that is my Daily Dynamo Selection for this fixture.
