Daily Dynamo Selections – AC Milan v Bologna
This season has certainly been the most dismal in living memory for AC Milan. Although the club has been going through a transitional period since its last great side grew old and broke up, a club as big as the Rossonieri doesn't expect to have lost more games than it has won two-thirds of the way through the season. Naturally, this is considered rather an underachievement and the pressure will be on the home side to pick up a win here after another damaging defeat in their previous Serie A fixture.
It is at the back where Milan have particularly struggled, leaking 35 goals in Serie A already, nearly as many as their lowly opponents for this fixture. What Milan wouldn't give for a Baresi or Maldini at the moment. They still look to have plenty of firepower on paper at least, and Adel Taarabt has added to this by scoring a brilliant goal on his Milan debut last week at Napoli.
Bologna would consider it a success to stay in the division, and they are currently on course to do so. They picked up a more than useful 2-1 win against Torino in their previous fixture, and will hope this is a springboard to better things. But they have scored less than a goal per game, and conceded plenty and the bookmakers understandably make Milan unbackable favourites to win this one.
Thus, I have looked elsewhere for my Daily Dynamo Selections, and I can see this being a pretty high scoring encounter.
Selections: Safe Bet – Over 2.5 goals (31/40 with BetVictor), Value Bet – Milan to win by 2 goals (13/4 with Ladbrokes)
