Daily Dynamo Selections – Bayern Munich v Real Madrid
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid meet in this titanic fixture on Tuesday, with which one of the two huge European football clubs will book a place in this season's Champions League final. Both have huge reason to want to win the competition apart from the usual glory – Real are chasing their 'decima' Champions League triumph, while Bayern are aiming to be the first club to retain the Champions League trophy.
The first game took the shape of many coached by the former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola, as Bayern dominated possession and often territorially and Real attempted to hit them on the break. Ultimately this worked out well for the Spanish side, and we can expect to see a very similar pattern of play in this match.
Two key elements will decide this tie. Firstly, will Real do what Bayern failed to do and score an away goal which could be crucial? And can Bayern break down the massed ranks of the Real defence to get back into the tie?
Bayern have such an excellent home record and such an array of attacking talent that it's hard to see them not scoring at some point. Shutting out Bayern Munich twice in two games is a tough proposition for any team, no matter how good they are. But Real have huge threats in their side as well, and are more than capable of scoring on the break.
My Daily Dynamo Selections for this fixture are for Real to lost on the night, but go through ultimately on away goals.
Selections: Safe Bet – Bayern win (8/11 with BetVictor), Value Bet – Bayern 2 -1 Real Madrid (8/1 with BetVictor)
