Daily Dynamo Selections – Belgium v Luxembourg
Belgium begin their preparations for the World Cup in earnest with a friendly match that it must be said looks like a slightly odd decision. To play an extremely weak Luxembourg outfit shortly before the World Cup will surely offer this strong Belgian side little competition, but it will at least almost certainly provide a morale boosting victory. Unfortunately, the winner market is off limits here, as Belgium are being quoted as low as 1/25 to win this one!
Luxembourg gleaned just six points from a qualifying group including the moderate international teams of Northern Ireland, Azerbaijan and Israel, and it is unthinkable that they will do anything other than lose to a Belgian team who are one of the dark horses for the Brazilian tournament. Premier League fans will be only too aware of the talent in this Belgian squad, and this friendly is likely to be treated as an opportunity to test out fringe players rather than as a viable competitive affair.
Thus, the only question for this one is which markets to plump for. The most viable market for a safe bet looks to be the over 3.5 goals market, where it is at least possible to acquire reasonable odds. This should be a cakewalk for Belgium, so expect a lot of goals. Elsewhere, a correct score bet looks to offer decent odds, so I've made a selection in this market as well
Selections: Safe Bet – Over 3.5 goals (1/2 with SkyBet), Value Bet – Belgium 4 – 0 Luxembourg (13/2 with Paddy Power)
