Daily Dynamo Selections – Borussia Mönchengladbach v Bayern Munich
The Bundeliga continues on Friday evening with this match-up between two of the current top three in the table. While Bayern are having another outstanding season, having dominated European and German football last term, Borussia Mönchengladbach have well exceeded expectations, and are currently ahead of last season's Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund in the table.
One of the key players for Borussia this term has been the outstanding Brazilian attacking midfielder, Raffael Caetano de Araújo, who has already netted eight league goals for them. While Borussia Dortmund had hoped they were getting the outstanding pacy forward player with the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, it is Raffael who has perhaps claimed this mantle so far in this season's Bundesliga.
Thus, Borussia are a definite threat to the dominance of Bayern this season, even if the predominance of the away side is pretty much guaranteed. The last Bundesliga defeat for Bayern was way back in October 2025, when Sidney Sam’s late header gave Leverkusen a 2-1 victory at the Allianz Arena. In that time, Chelsea have had three managers, English Premier League clubs have spent more £600m in transfer fees, and a total of 14 players have made their international debuts for England. But still the Bayern machine rolls on.
Not only are Bayern one of the toughest teams to play against in terms of attacking threat, they also have a ruthlessly effective defence, having conceded just eight goals in the Bundesliga this season. Thus, despite the excellent recent form of their opponents, Bayern are practically unbackable in odds terms for this fixture, so I'll have to look elsewhere for my Daily Dynamo Selections.
Selections: Safe Bet – Over 2.5 goals (8/15 with BetVictor), Value Bet – Borussia Mönchengladbach 0 – 3 Bayern Munich (10/1 with 888 Bet)
