Daily Dynamo Selections – Chelsea v Norwich City
If Chelsea's hopes of winning the Premier League remain remote then they will nevertheless want to emphatically see off Norwich at Stamford Bridge here just in case Liverpool and Manchester City slip up. City have a tough looking match against Everton to play, while Liverpool haven't been intimately involved in a title race for quarter of a century, and could feel some nerves in the run in.
Chelsea have had some dismal defeats this season, albeit mostly away from Stamford Bridge, and will want to avoid such ignominy here against a Norwich side that look likely to drop out of the division this term.
It goes without saying that all of the statistics related to this one point to a home win. Although Chelsea lost their last EPL game at Stamford Bridge to Sunderland, they retain the best home record in the division. Norwich have won only twice on their travels, losing fourteen, and are probably in the worst form of any EPL side, not only statistically, but also in practical, on-field terms as well.
Chelsea can pick their strongest side for this game, safe in the knowledge that they will either be out of the Champions League by the time this game takes place, or the final will be away on the horizon to look forward to. A full strength Chelsea should give a demoralised Norwich a good thrashing, and I can't see any other outcome, realistically.
