Daily Dynamo Selections – Crystal Palace v Liverpool
Liverpool will be ruefully regretting their 1-0 defeat at Chelsea which looks to have effectively handed the Premier League title to Manchester City. The Reds remain on the same points total as their rivals, but City have a significantly better goal difference, and with only two games to go for both clubs, the chances of Liverpool eradicating this are less than remote.
Nonetheless, strange things happen in title run-ins, and the Reds must attempt to keep the pressure up on City with a win here against Crystal Palace. The Liverpool players will have watched City see off Palace in extremely routine fashion just days ago, and now they must look to do the same in this Monday night fixture.
Palace have certainly vastly improved under the ever resourceful Tony Pulis, and one can be assured that they won't lie down and die in this match, despite the fact that they have little or nothing to play for apart from Premier League prize money. Palace have secured eight victories on their home turf this term, and Liverpool certainly cannot take victory for granted, despite their exceptional run away from home which has led to them attaining the best away record in the division.
I expect Liverpool to bounce back quickly here from the disappointment of the Chelsea game and pick up three points. Rarely does a team with nothing to play for see off title challengers, and this game will surely be no different.
Selections: Safe Bet – Over 2.5 goals (3/5 with BetVictor), Value Bet – Palace 1 – 3 Liverpool (11/1 with BetVictor)
