Daily Dynamo Selections – Fiorentina v Siena
This Coppa Italia quarter-final features a club pushing for Champions League football next season, and a mid-table Serie B side. It goes without saying then that Fiorentina will be the favourites for this match, and the Florence-based club had some transfer news to celebrate this week when they secured the signing of Brazilian midfielder Anderson from Manchester United.
Fiorentina have looked a pretty capable side in the last few weeks, and have gone on a highly useful five game unbeaten streak in Serie A which has put them in a very strong position to challenge Napoli for the third Champions League spot in the Italian league. This has been achieved thanks to an outstanding recent defensive record, with the fourth-placed club in Serie A keeping five consecutive clean sheets in total.
Interestingly, though, they are lining up here against the team with the most potent attack in Serie B. Despite being placed 13th in Italy's second tier, Siena have scored more goals than any other team in the division. And they walloped Catania 4-1 away from home in the previous round to give some indication of their attacking potency.
Thus, with the winner market pretty unbackable in this fixture due to the low odds, I would recommend looking at the under / over 2.5 goals market if you're looking for a relatively safe bet. This should be a game with goals, with the prolific and talented Giuseppe Rossi likely to cause the visitors' defence all sorts of problems.
Selections: Safe Bet – Over 2.5 goals (4/6 with BetVictor), Value Bet – Giuseppe Rossi to score first (5/2 with Bet365)
