Daily Dynamo Selections – Inter Milan v Lazio
With two games to go in their season, Inter Milan are trying to secure a European place for next term. The Milanese club has missed out on Champions League football as they continue to try to reclaim their place at Europe's top table, but they are at least showing some signs of promise. Lazio have little to play for in this one, so Inter will be hoping that their greater motivation counts for a lot in this one.
The plus point of Inter's season is that they have at least established some defensive solidity. Only the top two of Roma and Juventus have conceded less goals than them this season, and this defensive strength has ensured that they've lost very few games. Unfortunately, they have perhaps lacked a bit of creativity in midfield, and this has resulted in Inter drawing far too many games this campaign to sustain a challenge for the Champions League places.
This has been the case at the San Siro, where Inter have drawn as many games as they've won and lost combined, which has ultimately cost them any hopes of achieving their ambitions for this season. Thus, I feel this could be a typical lacklustre end of season affair, in which neither side plays a great deal of inspiring football and the two teams are level at the end of 90 minutes, and Inter pick up another solitary point at home.
Selections: Safe Bet – Draw (12/5 with Paddy Power), Value Bet – Inter Milan 1 – 1 Lazio (11/2 with Paddy Power)
