Daily Dynamo Selections – Juventus v Sampdoria
Juventus already look to have their third consecutive Italian title wrapped up, with the bianconeri currently eight points clear at the top of Serie A. Despite being the most successful team in the history of Serie A, fans of the Turin club are by no means taking this success for granted, as Juventus recently had a lean ten year period during which they were relegated to Serie B for financial irregularities related to betting syndicates.
Nevertheless, many Italian football supporters had hoped that this season would be a bit more competitive than recent Serie A campaigns, particularly with Napoli having a strong side and a new manager and Roma having made a strong start to the season. Unfortunately, both have faded, and it looks like a turkey trot for Juve to win the league title.
Sampdoria have had a decent run recently, but it seems unlikely that they can stop Juve. With only five wins and eight defeats this season, they’re not even close to having half as many points as Juventus in the league standings, and have also scored 24 less goals than the league leaders.
It looks like more a case of how many in this match, so Juventus are priced too short to back to win the game. For my Daily Dynamo Selections I’m instead going to look at the under / over 2.5 market for my safe bet, and the exact score market for my value bet. All evidence points to Juventus winning this one comfortably, even if Carlos Tevez may be missing.
Selections: Safe Bet – Over 2.5 goals (3/5 with BetVictor), Value Bet – Juventus 3 – 0 Sampdoria (5/1 with Ladbrokes)
