Daily Dynamo Selections – Lazio v Juventus
Two of the most historic clubs in Serie A meet over the weekend, as Lazio host Juventus. The visitors to the Stadio Olimpico have built up a significant lead at the top of Serie A, and look to be well on the way to their third consecutive title. Their recent form in Serie A has been nothing short of spectacular, with the defending Serie A champions having won their last thirteen fixtures in Serie A. This has been particularly aided by the goals of their new signing Carlos Tevez, and the midfield performances of Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba; easily the best central midfield pair in Italy.
However, Juve were narrowly defeated by Roma in mid-week, and this could have hit the confidence of the Turin-based club slightly. Having said that, Lazio are by no means the force that they once were in Serie A, and despite the recent return of Miroslav Klose, the Rome-based club are struggling for goals this season.
In fact, Juventus have more than double the number of points that Lazio have secured so far in Serie A, and though the home side's recent form has been pretty decent, it seems inevitable that Juve will make it 14 wins out of 14 with another victory here. They are offered by the bookmakers at a backable price, so I would recommend for the first of my Daily Dynamo Selections to back the league leaders to win here.
