Daily Dynamo Selections – Liverpool v Manchester City
With the FA Cup semi-finals taking place this weekend, there are only eight Premier League games this weekend. But with the game of the season being played on Sunday, there is no need for football fans to worry about a lack of drama.
Liverpool against Manchester City will quite possibly decide the outcome of the Premier League title race. Certainly if City win they will be in an extremely strong position, but Liverpool also know that if they win all of their remaining fixtures this season then they will be crowned Premier League champions for the first time.
The home side has been in spectacular form of late, and go into the game on an unbelievable winning run, which the odds must surely be against being snapped at some point. City's form has been very good as well, but the absence of Sergio Aguero could make the difference in a tight game such as this.
Will Liverpool be able to play their usual cavalier football against City, though? The Reds have actually outscored the Blues this term, quite an incredible achievement given the attacking riches at the away team's disposal. This is a meeting between the two highest scorers in the Premier League, so goals seem inevitable.
When two evenly matched teams meet it is tempting to go for the draw, as neither team will want to lose. But I think this one will break the mould and be an entertaining open draw in keeping with the style of the two teams.
Selections: Safe Bet – Draw (19/10 with BetVictor), Value Bet – 2-2 draw (12/1 with BetVictor)
