Daily Dynamo Selections – Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur
A highly important week in the immediate future of Liverpool Football Club continues with this testing looking fixture against Tottenham Hotspur. The Reds have battered goals past all-comers in recent weeks, while Tottenham's up and down season has continued, with the White Hart Lane club still looking to be in with an outside chance of Champions League qualification.
The main factor in this game will almost certainly be whether the Spurs back line can deal with the rampant Liverpool attack. Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge have been running riot lately, and they have proved to be extremely difficult for opponents to deal with, given their pace, skill and eye for goal.
This perhaps doesn't bode well for Tottenham, as they've already been walloped on their home turf once by Liverpool this season, and have also endured some horrible thrashings away from home. They didn't exactly look solid at the back in their last Premier League outing, coming from behind to beat Southampton by three goals to two, and it's hard to see them dealing well with the so-called SAS forward line.
Perhaps if Adebayor returns then Tottenham could cause Liverpool some problems at the back and take advantage of the very open game that the Reds play. But Spurs haven't looked convincing enough in recent weeks to suggest to me that they can come out on top, and I expect another Liverpool victory here.
Selections: Safe Bet – Liverpool win (1/2 with Stan James), Value Bet – Liverpool win by 2 goals (18/5 with Ladbrokes)
