Daily Dynamo Selections – Roma v AC Milan
If Roma are to keep their extremely slim title chances alive, they must see off Milan at the Olympic Stadium. While this is by no stretch of the imagination the strongest side that Milan have ever fielded, they have been in decent form of late, and will doubtless provide decent opposition for a Roma side who have been formidable on their home turf this season.
This is in fact a meeting of two of the form teams in the division. Milan have won their last five Serie A fixtures, while Roma have picked up six consecutive victories. The Roman side must be ruing a period during the mid-part of the season where their form dipped considerably, but on balance it has still been an excellent season for them.
Roma's season has been built on the best defence in Serie A, and this has been particularly impressive at home where they have conceded just eight goals all season. Given their parsimony at the back, it is hardly surprising that Roma are unbeaten in Serie A this season on their home turf, and with Milan having lost more than they've won on their travels, the home side must be significant favourites to extend their excellent record here.
Thus, I'm tipping the home side to come away with three points in a game that I doubt will go down as a classic.
