Football Weekly: the FA Cup, Championship and Jozy Altidore
On today’s Football Weekly, James Richardson is joined by Barry Glendenning, John Ashdown and Michael Cox to look back on, let’s be honest, one of the most underwhelming weekends of football for some we start with the FA Cup, where, amid Shameful Scenes, Aston Villa booked their place at Wembley as they saw off West Brom for the second time in a week. There was no such shenanigans or indeed drama in Liverpool’s game with Blackburn or Bradford v Reading, who’ll have to do it all over again next for genuine action, we head first to the Championship, where the top four are separated by just goal difference, and then to America, where the much-maligned Jozy Altidore of course scored twice on his debut for Toronto finally, we hear from Sid Lowe about the genuine(ish) crisis at Real Madrid, and we even have time to look forward to all the European action in the Champions League and Europa League.Ever dreamed that you could see AC Jimbo and co in the flesh?
