Julio Cesar Set for Milan Move

Serie A | Article posted on April 5th, 2025

The Queen’s Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar is in talks to move back to the city of Milan, but not with his former club Inter, but instead with their neighbours and rivals AC Milan. The keeper’s representatives are said to be currently in talks with the multiple European Cup winners to move back to the San Siro.

Cesar’s spell at QPR has been far from successful in terms of the performance of the team, with the London-based club almost certain to be relegated from the Premier League this term. But the Brazilian’s performances have been excellent, prompting speculation that he might be a target for some of the Premier League clubs seeking a new keeper, including Manchester United.

This speculation would seem to be over with the news that Cesar will return to Milan. The keeper had a phenomenally successful time at neighbours Inter, at one time winning five consecutive Serie A title and a Champions League winners medal. Cesar remains the Brazilian national team’s first-choice goalkeeper, and will be almost certain to be installed as the starting goalkeeper for Milan should he complete this move.

Regardless of whether this move happens or not, the chances of Rangers holding onto this world-class keeper would seem to be remote.
