Juventus Well Placed to Lift Scudetto Again
In a time in which Italian football is often thought to be in something of the doldrums, the rehabilitation of the Old Lady of Italian football, Juventus, has at least provided something of a form of cosy nostalgia to the Serie A table. The Turin-based club have dominated Serie A for the last few seasons, and the capture of Carlos Tevez looks to have put them in pole position to do so once again this term.
Certainly the Juventus Alessandro Del Piero legend believes so. He told goal that the Old Lady will be likely to dominate Serie A again this season. “Juve are in pole position, they have great potential, and their new signings will not take long to express themselves at that level.”
More positive transfer news seems to be imminent for Juve, with their highly-rated midfielder Paul Pogba reported also by goal to be close to agreeing a new five year contract, while the club is so well endowed in the striker department that that the club will flog a couple before the window closes. Finally, the Daily Star reports that Juventus are so emboldened by their current status that they’re about to launch a swoop for Manchester United’s centre-back Nemanja Vidic.
