Juventus v Catania – Match Preview and Betting Tip
Having put Celtic emphatically to bed to book their place in the last eight of the Champions League, Juventus return to Serie A action attempting to build on their six point gap at the top of the table. They face a Catania side at the Stadio delle Alpi who have been one of the more competent sides in Italy this season, and still remain in with an outside chance of qualifying for European football.
The Turin giants will revert to their strongest line-up for this fixture, with Mirko Vucinic and Sebastian Giovinco likely to return the starting eleven, after they were replaced by Fabio Quagliarella and Alessandro Matri in their previous match against Celtic.
Catania were turned over 3-2 by Inter Milan in their previous fixture, and would doubtless settle for a point at the home of the defending Serie A champions. Defender Ciro Capuano, midfielder Pablo Barrientos and striker Gonzalo Bergessio will be unavailable for selection, and centre-back Nicola Legrottaglie is suspended.
Juventus (possible 3-5-2): Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Lichtsteiner, Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah; Vucinic, Giovinco
Catania (possible 3-5-2): Andujar; Bellusci, Spolli, Rolin; Alvarez, Izco, Lodi, Almiron, Marchese; Castro, Gomez
Betting Prediction: I expect a comfortable Juventus victory here. I’m tipping the home side to win 3-0.
