Juventus v Fiorentina – Match Preview and Betting Tip
Top of the table Juventus face a test in this week’s Serie A fixtures when they meet Fiorentina at the Stadio delle Alpi. The Turin club have again been the strongest team in the Italian league thus far this season, and although they have been beaten, unlike their last Serie A campaign, they remain favourites to win the title. But with a strong Napoli side breathing down their neck, it is not a certainty that La Vecchia Signora will retain their crown.
Fiorentina have had a decent campaign, and actually have a better home record than the league leaders. They have also scored plenty of goals both on their home turf and away from home. However, their away record is mediocre with the Florence-based club having picked up only three wins on the road.
Thus, Juventus are strong favourites for this fixture, and the home side will expect to pick up three points. However, the Champions League tie coming up against Celtic in mid-week may prove something of a distraction, so this is a factor that must be taken into consideration.
However, I look at the Juventus defence, including Barzagli, Chiellini and Buffon, and the club’s defensive record in Serie A this season, and feel they are well capable of shutting out the visitors. So my tip for this game is in the both teams to score market, where I would recommend betting that both teams won’t score.
