Liverpool Delusional Over Suarez
As the Luis Suarez transfer saga threatens to roll on throughout the summer transfer window, it has to be said that Liverpool have handled the situation less than successfully. While over the last few days the upper echelons of Liverpool FC have done everything possible to emphasise that Suarez won’t be leaving, the Daily Mail have reported today that after the 1-0 friendly defeat at the hands of Celtic, Brendan Rodgers stated that Suarez must apologise to his team-mates if he is to stay with the club.
This seems an extremely high risk, or possibly completely delusional strategy. It was only days ago that Suarez gave interviews indicating that he felt he had been poorly treated by the club. Now they’re expecting him to apologise and state that he was in the wrong? Dream on.
This is only heading one way – Luis Suarez will leave Liverpool by hook or by crook. If only Arsenal want him, then that is where he will end up. End of story.
