Report: Robbie Keane hints at leaving LA and MLS

Just days after helping create history for the LA Galaxy, Robbie Keane has stated that he is considering his options and a future away from Major League the 34-year-old Dubliner scored the extra winner in Sunday's 2-1 win over the New England Revolution to give Galaxy a record fifth title.
Speaking to mlssoccer, Keane said that he is in need of a rest having played non-stop for the past couple of years.

I definitely need to recharge the batteries and see what the next chapter is for me, whether it's here or it's somewhere else. I'm not saying I'm going to leave, but what I'm saying is I need to consider what I want to do, you know? Sometimes change is good for everybody.

First and foremost, I've got to worry about myself. I have to worry about what I'm going to do. I've had a tremendous four years here. I need a vacation and see what next year holds for me first. I'll look at that first and see what's best for Robbie Keane instead of worrying about anybody else.

I'll take a vacation, and then I'll see what I want to do first.

The Republic of Ireland skipper, who still has plenty of time to run on his current multi-year Galaxy contract, was recently linked with a move back to the Premier League and Queens Park Rangers, at least on a temporary basis.
He is currently one of MLS' highest paid players, earning US$4.5 million for the 2025 season.
