Tahiti v Uruguay – Confederations Cup Preview and Betting Tip
Uruguay go into this game with the minnows of Tahiti knowing that they will advance to the semi-finals if they can better Nigeria’s result against Spain. Oscar Tabarez may therefore rest some of his star players ahead of an almost certain semi-final against Brazil with Edinson Cavani an obvious candidate, as a yellow card would rule him out of the next match.
Tahiti will obviously offer little competition to a team of the class of Uruguay, as they have already emphatically proved against Spain and Nigeria. Having already achieved their stated aim coming into the tournament of scoring a goal, though, the Tahitians have nevertheless enjoyed their first tournament experience.
Eddy Etaeta's side may be able to count on the support of neutrals but they are completely unfancied by the odds compilers with William Hill offering 100-1 against the Iron Warriors claiming an unlikely victory here.
It is difficult to find much betting value in what is such a one-sided fixture, but if selected Luis Suarez might make a big dent in the top goalscorer for the tournament betting.

Betting Prediction
Uruguay will certainly win this fixture, the only question to answer is by how many. Having managed to correctly predict Spain’s 10-0 win over Tahiti, I guess my luck might be running out, but I’m going to go for a 7-0 win for Uruguay. I certainly don’t see the Tahitians scoring, and I think Uruguay will do slightly better than Nigeria. It’s hard to see them breaking their back to match Spain, as there is simply no incentive for them to do so.
Final Scoreline Prediction:Tahiti 0 – 7 Uruguay
Other Recommended Bets: Uruguay to win Over 2.5 Goals, Both Teams not to Score.
