Tevez Looks Like Transfer Coup for Juve
One of the most high profile moves to Serie A in the summer was that of Carlos Tevez from Manchester City. The former Manchester United striker had been a huge success and prolific goalscorer at City, and for the Turin-based club to pick him up was a massive coup, and one that saw Juve inserted as favourites to win Serie A.
However, the early indications with regard to Tevez is that it is a greater signing that anyone realised at the time. Tevez was instrumental in Juve’s demolition of Lazio in the Italian Supercopa. It seems that the temperamental Argentine is settling in well, and goal report that he has even compared his new coach Antonio Conte’s mentality to that of Sir Alex Ferguson.
Meanwhile, Tevez has also announced that he is delighted with the partnership that he has formed with Juventus team-mate Mario Vucinic, and with Fernando Llorente in reserve, Juventus look very well placed to claim another Scudetta come the end of the season.
